Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a recognized specialty of the dental profession, encompassing the surgical and related treatment of diseases, injuries and deformities involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, gums and jaws. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a graduate of an accredited dental school who has completed additional post-doctorate training in an accredited, hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program. Cooper OMS expertise ranges from Pathology to Wisdom Tooth Removal. Cooper OMS can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries and TMJ disorders, and performs a full range of Dental Implant procedures.
The surgical staff at Cooper OMS is trained in assisting with IV sedation and surgery. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. We also have trained nurses (LPNs) to assist in surgery. The staff is CPR certified and are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies.
